 In Myrtle Beach, beach going-wheelchairs are located
at selected lifeguard stands listed below. In North Myrtle Beach, wheelchairs are available from
Memorial Day to Labor Day at City Park on 1st Ave. S. These chairs are sturdy and come equipped
with an umbrella and large balloon tires that are easy to push through soft sand. Although there is
no charge to use the wheelchairs, a time limit of one hour per person is set to ensure that
everyone gets a turn. For further information call (843) 918-1000.
