Music of the Generations - The 2005 Pawleys Island Festival of Music and Art at Brookgreen Gardens! Mark your calendars for September 30 through October 23, 2005 when The Pawleys Island Festival of Music and Art comes to Brookgreen Gardens. Brookgreen houses more than five hundred and fifty works of art, comprising the world's finest outdoor collection of American figurative sculptures. It is a National Historic Landmark, consisting of four rice plantations dating from the Colonial Period.

Sixteenth Annual Georgetown Wooden Boat Show
The Harbor Historical Association of Georgetown will present the 16th Annual Wooden Boat Show on Saturday, October 15, 2005 from 11 am to 6 pm. This year's show will feature one of the Southeast's finest wooden boat exhibits, a wooden boat building competition, children's model boat building, a boat raffle, maritime arts & crafts, food and music. These events will take place on the waterfront at Broad and Front Streets in Historic Downtown Georgetown.

Brookgreen's Nights of a Thousand Candles Held Three Weekends in December!
Thousands of lights sparkle from live oak trees and illuminate garden paths, as musicians play, carolers sing and visitors experience the enchantment that only Nights of A Thousand Candles at Brookgreen Gardens can bring. This holiday magic returns to Brookgreen Gardens on Friday and Saturday evenings, Dec. 2 - 3, 9 -10 and 16 -17 from 4:30 to 9 p.m.

South Carolina Bluegrass Festival
Come and enjoy three days of pickin' and grinin' at this Thanksgiving weekend Bluegrass Festival.

Murrells Inlet Oyster Roast & Veterans Pier Dedication - November 12, 2005
It’s an annual community tradition now. Oysters, chowder, hot dogs, burgers, sodas and beers with entertainment by local musicians. What better way to spend a fall Saturday afternoon. Location will be the parking lot near Crazy Sisters Marina (i.e., Captain Dick’s front parking lot). Pier dedication ceremony starts at 11:00 am. First batch of oysters will be thrown on the table immediately following the brief dedication ceremony.
