The Southeast Tourism Society has chosen the 53rd annual Sun Fun Festival® as one of the Top 20 Events for June 2004. The Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce, sponsor of the annual festival, received a letter of congratulations from the organization this week and soon will receive a plaque.

Conway Chamber Plans New Sportsman Festival

March Natural History Programs at Myrtle Beach State Park
Myrtle Beach State Park will be offering some natural history programs for March. Programs are free with the $3 per person admission (ages 15 and under are free) into the park and do not require pre-registration. For more information, please call 843-238-0874.

Pee Dee Street Rodders Car Show
"Run to the Sun" car show will be held March 18-24, 2004 at the Waccamaw Factory Shoppes off Highway 501. The show will include custom cars/trucks, street machines, special interest vehicles and street rods. Proceeds to benefit the Children's Miracle Network and the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation.

51st Annual Grand Strand Fishing Rodeo Competition
Enter your catch... caught from pier, surf, inlet or deep sea... for monthly decals, shoulder patches, and prizes totaling over $10,000 in cash and merchandise. Grand Prize of $2,000 awarded at the end of Rodeo. The weighmaster whose name is on the grand prize winner's entry card receives $200.
