Summer Family Golf Tournaments
Bring your family, friends or just yourself and take part in the best golf value on the beach while playing some of the best courses on the Grand Strand. The format is two person teams, Captain's Choice (Scramble). No established handicap is needed; we will use the Callaway System. Each tournament will include three divisions; Open, Couples and Adult/Youth. Singles are more than welcome and will be paired with a partner. These single day events are great for the beginner or scratch golfer, young and old alike. There is no minimum age limit. Click here to learn more about the golf tournament.

8th Annual National Father & Son Team Classic
Each summer Myrtle Beach hosts the largest father and son golf competition in the world. This year's event will be held July 21-23, 2005. Year after year, fathers and son come together for this week of competitive golf and summertime fun. Martin's PGA TOUR Superstore has announced that it will be the title sponsor for this year's event. Each player will receive a $200 Martin’s gift certificate in their gift package along with additional Father & Son merchandise. The tournament is open to fathers/sons, grandfathers/grandsons, stepfathers/stepsons, fathers/sons (in-laws), and uncles/nephews. 36 flights play a challenging 54-hole format over 12 of the Grand Strand's finest layouts. Brookgreen's Cool Summer Evenings Festival Offers New Entertainment!
Brookgreen Gardens will remain open until 9 pm Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday evenings from June 15 through August 19 for their Cool Summer Evenings Festival, now in its seventh season. All three evenings visitors can witness a spectacular sunset aboard The Springfield, Brookgreen's 48' pontoon boat, as it winds its way through freshwater creeks and abandoned rice fields. For theater lovers, Wednesday evenings offer Shakespearean plays in the Lowcountry Center Courtyard at 7:30 p.m. Join Bill Oberst, Jr. for six evenings of comedy, drama and romance as he performs "One Man Romeo & Juliet" on June 15, 22 and 29, July 6 and 13, and August 17. Enter your catch... caught from pier, surf, inlet or deep sea... for monthly decals, shoulder patches, and prizes totaling over $10,000 in cash and merchandise.
