8th Annual National Father & Son Team Classic
Each summer Myrtle Beach hosts the largest father and son golf competition in the world. This year's event will be held July 21-23, 2005. Year after year, fathers and son come together for this week of competitive golf and summertime fun. Martin's PGA TOUR Superstore has announced that it will be the title sponsor for this year's event. Each player will receive a $200 Martin’s gift certificate in their gift package along with additional Father & Son merchandise. The tournament is open to fathers/sons, grandfathers/grandsons, stepfathers/stepsons, fathers/sons (in-laws), and uncles/nephews. 36 flights play a challenging 54-hole format over 12 of the Grand Strand's finest layouts. PGA TOUR Superstore World Amateur Handicap Championship
For the 22nd consecutive year, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina will host the best amateur tournament in the world, the PGA TOUR Superstore World Amateur Handicap Championship presented by DuPont. You heard correctly; after 20 years of sponsorship by the DuPont Company, the event has a new title sponsor. Come be a part of the world's largest amateur golf event. Summer Family Golf Tournaments 
Bring your family, friends or just yourself and take part in the best golf value on the beach while playing some of the best courses on the Grand Strand. The format is two person teams, Captain's Choice (Scramble). No established handicap is needed; we will use the Callaway System. Each tournament will include three divisions; Open, Couples and Adult/Youth.

Murrells Inlet 4th of July Boat Parade
The Murrells Inlet 4th of July Boat Parade will be held on Monday, July 4th at 5:00 pm. The parade will include over 100 boats decorated to the 2005 theme "Freedom is Alive in 2005" and competing for the prestigious Bob Hendrick trophy for best and most patriotically decorated vessel. All boats, big and small, will be loaded with Independence Day well wisher waving at the multitudes watching from the banks of Murrells Inlet. Click here to learn more.
